A. Nicolaidis is the coordinator of the project. He is associate professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). B.Sc. in Physics (AUTh, 1973), Ph.D. in Particle Physics (McGill University, Montreal, 1978). He worked as postdoc at Laboratoire de Physique Corpusculaire, College de France, Paris.

     His scientific work is centered on phenomenology of particle interactions, neutrino astrophysics, extra dimensions of space. He is teaching at AUTh the course “Physics and Philosophy”. He received the Empirikion prize for Natural Sciences (1988). Fulbright scholar the year 1995. Member of the scientific council of NESTOR (Institute of Deep Sea Research and Technology and Astroparticle Neutrino Physics). Member of the “Centre International de Recherches et Études Transdisciplinaires” (CIRET).
