Archpriest Dr. Nicolaos Loudovicos was born in Volos, Greece. He studied Psychology and Pedagogy at the University of Athens, Theology at the University of Thessaloniki, Philosophy at the University of Sorbonne (Paris), Philosophy and Catholic Theology at the Catholic Institute of Paris, Philosophy and Protestant Theology at the University of Cambridge, England. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Thessaloniki. During his psychological studies he was especially interested in the methodological problem in human sciences, while during his philosophical studies in France he worked on the problem of knowledge, in ancient greek philosophy and especially in Plotinus. Furthermore in Cambridge he investigated, among others, the epistemological problem derived from the analytical philosophical tradition in its connection to modern crucial theological issues.
